Atlantic Immigration Pilot

This pilot program is built to help employers in the provinces of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland and Labrador to fill employment. Intermediate-skilled workers, high skilled workers and International Graduates may qualify and potentially apply for Permanent Residence.

To be qualified under Intermediate-skilled workers

• Must have work experience at NOC skill level C – this type of job normally requires at least Highschool Education.
• Must have at least 1,560 hours accumulated over a period of at least 12 months, on the same paid job. Work experience must have been in the last 3 years.
• Education must be at least secondary or post-secondary certificate or diploma or equivalent for foreign education
• Language test must be at least CLB 4 on all skills and must be valid for at least 2 years from the time the test was taken
• Must prove that you have enough funds to support yourself and your family Proof of funds
• Must have a valid Job offer from a designated company

Prince Edward Island  Designated employers

New Brunswick Designated employers

To be qualified under the High-skilled Workers

• Must have work experience at NOC skill level 0, A or B
• Must have at least 1,560 hours accumulated over a period of at least 12 months, on the same paid job. Work experience must have been in the last 3 years.
• Education must be at least secondary or post-secondary certificate or diploma or equivalent for foreign education
• Language test must be at least CLB 4 on all skills and must be valid for at least 2 years from the time the test was taken

To qualify under the International Graduate Program

• Must have lived in Atlantic provinces for at least 16 months in the 2 years before getting degree, diploma or certificate
• Must have at least a 2-year degree, diploma. Certificate or trade from a fulltime study program and have proper permits. Only studies from a public-funded institution in an Atlantic Province will be recognized.
• Language test must be at least CLB 4 on all skills and must be valid for at least 2 years from the time the test was taken
• Must prove that you have enough funds to support yourself and your family Proof of funds
• Must have a valid Job offer from a designated company
